Terms
Last updated 28 October 2026
These are the terms for using Vidert. By using the site, you agree to them. They are kept short; if anything is unclear, ask us at [email protected].
What we keep about you, and why, is on the privacy page.
What Vidert is
Vidert collects and links to videos on YouTube, grouped by topic. The videos stay on YouTube: we don't host them, and when you watch one here it is played by YouTube's own player. Watching them is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service.
Vidert is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, YouTube or Google.
Your account
You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google or GitHub. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or abuses the site. You can ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to [email protected] from the email address on it.
Using the site
Please don't:
- scrape or copy the site in bulk, or send it automated traffic at a rate that burdens it;
- try to break into the site, get round its limits, or disrupt it for others;
- post anything unlawful, abusive or that isn't yours to post, in a comment, your profile, a creator page or anywhere else you can add something.
We may remove anything you add that breaks these terms. What you add stays yours; you let us show it on the site for as long as it is there.
Creators
A creator page shows a YouTube channel's public details, such as its name, picture and videos, and links back to the channel. If you run a channel, you can claim its page from the creator page and edit it. If you'd like your channel's page changed or taken down, or your videos left off the site, write to [email protected] from an address we can tie to the channel and we will do it.
Reporting content
To report a comment, use the report button beside it. To report a video or a page, write to [email protected] with its link and what is wrong. We will remove what we are asked to remove on a valid request, such as a copyright claim, and anything that breaks these terms. A video that breaks YouTube's rules can also be reported to YouTube, which hosts it.
No guarantees
Vidert is free, and is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working and its links right, but we can't promise that it will always be available, or that everything on it is accurate. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site, or from the videos and sites it links to. Nothing here limits a liability that the law doesn't let us limit.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts.
