Artemis II crew see first glimpse of far side of Moon | BBC News

The crew for Nasa's Artemis II mission are now over halfway on their journey to the Moon. Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen have entered the third day of their mission on the Orion spacecraft, and have now caught their first glimpse of the far side of the Moon. The crew shared a photo they took of the Orientale basin of the Moon, which Nasa said marked "the first time the entire basin has been seen with human eyes". As of 23:00 BST on Saturday, Nasa's online dashboard showed the Artemis II spacecraft was more than 180,000 miles (289,681km) from Earth. Former US diplomat claims 'end is near' in Iran

Marc Sievers, a former US diplomat, joined Ben Kentish to discuss the latest developments in the Iran war. After a "daring" operation, US President Donald Trump revealed that both crew members of an F-15 jet downed over Iran had been rescued. The mission to find the second F-15 crew member had been ongoing for almost three days after the US aircraft was shot down on Friday while undertaking military operations in Iran. Iran and the US were in a desperate race to locate the crew member, with Iranian officials offering a "precious prize" for the pilot's capture, with some reports claiming anyone who is able to find the US airman would be given $60,000. The rescue operations were the first time in military memory that two American pilots had been retrieved separately from inside enemy territory. Trump said the US rescued both airmen “without a SINGLE American killed, or even wounded”. Trump says missing US crew member from downed jet rescued in 'daring' operation in Iran | BBC News

An American crew member rescued after a fighter jet was shot down over Iran is “safe and sound”, US President Donald Trump said. The operation to rescue the airman led to an engagement between US and Iranian forces, after a race to locate them, with Iranian officials offering cash rewards to citizens to find them "alive”. It is understood the rescue was a hugely complex operation involving significant US military resources, with hundreds of special forces personnel, several dozen warplanes and helicopters tasked with the search. Middle East tensions surge as airstrikes continue and Trump warns Iran 'time is running out'

Tensions continue to rise across the region as diplomatic efforts struggle to contain the escalating conflict. Tehran has announced a $60,000 reward for information on a missing US pilot after an airstrike struck near a nuclear facility in Iran. In Israel, a projectile detonated in the city of Kiryat Shmona without any warning sirens, raising further concerns over escalating cross-border strikes. Meanwhile, Iraq has shut a border crossing with Iran following airstrikes that reportedly killed an Iraqi citizen on Iranian territory, further straining regional relations. In the United States, Donald Trump said “time is running out” for Iran to reach a deal, promising "all Hell will reign down" if they do not come to the table within 48 hours.
